Helping someone else

I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of different people through the different positions I have had. One individual who stands out was a young mother who had gotten herself out of an abusive relationship. She was going back to school when I met her. Working extremely hard to learn what she needed to get a career that would sustain her family. She was also living in a women’s shelter. Thinking of her gave me my idea for how I could help someone else be more sustainable.
I received new dishes for Christmas, the old ones have been sitting in my basement. I took them to a women’s shelter this week. They will hopefully help someone else get out of a very unsustainable situation and move on. Only then can they think about being sustainable socially and environmentally.
